Hear Their Challenge

We spoke to Michael McCormick, CPA, Treasurer of Montgomery Cyclery, Inc. who has been with the company since 1995. Before Michael's involvement and before purchasing Infocorp's retail management solution, Montgomery Cyclery & Fitness used an electronic cash register along with printouts of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to track their inventory.

Michael explained, "Using the manual inventory system resulted in extremely long time-delays between updates, and the accuracy was only as good as the last printout at a store." Montgomery Cyclery & Fitness decided that they needed to implement a system that would provide them with more detailed information at their fingertips.

Montgomery Cyclery & Fitness is always looking to expand. They use the Customer Management features of Softwear/POS to see where their customers are coming from and where new stores may need to be based. Michael stated, "The Customer Management features of Softwear/POS help us determine if and where we should add a store or move a store. We are currently in the process of evaluating the future of two of our stores, and the information available from Softwear/POS will help in the decision making process."
